Demonstrates and sells sewing machines: Explains and demonstrates to prospective customers how to thread and adjust tensions on machine, use various attachments, and set machine to sew various stitches. Estimates and quotes trade-in allowance for customer's old machine. Determines extent of repair service required in response to customer's call and advises customer on minor repair procedures or arranges for service. May prepare machine rental contracts. May clean and maintain store demonstrator machines. May sell vacuum cleaners and sewing accessories. Performs other duties as described under SALESPERSON (retail trade; wholesale tr.) Master Title.
